I want to thank everyone that made our Bradenton 2010 race this year. Without the support and dedication of our members I could not have had a better show. You guys and gals are the best and that is why I stepped up to the plate to see the Classic Gassers stay together and move forward. I don't know where to even start on thanking people. The countless hours on the road with no sleep, lost sleep on getting the cars ready for our shows, the burden of costly repairs just to be able to make it. I guess this one says it all Fuel= 300.00 + sleepless nights= Broken Race Car Parts = $$$$ Being With Our Friends Racing = Priceless I will try to get a write up on this event on here sometime today with some pictures that I took. For a short note on the results: David Goodson won A/Gas with Brad Jones Runner up. Steve Lewis won B/Gas with Coyote runner up, and Faith Frost won C/Gas and Chris runner up. More to come later.....

Well another one in the books. As usual this race is the best there is. It was my 25th year in a row. My first trip down the strip was in 1966. I do believe that B Gas final with Coyote is one of the closest races I have ever been in. He sure spanked me on the tree.
Thanks Steve for all the effort you put in to our group. I can't wait till next year.

Congrats to the Alabama Outlaw and the Florida Outlaw "Steve Lewis" on jobs well done. I hate that I missed Bradenton 2010 but very happy for all those who won and runner-ups. Two of the three winners backed up there 2009 wins and defended there championship well from the previous year. I am sure ole Alabama Outlaw will be tough to beat in 2011 as he defends his win. Congrats to Faith Frost in C/G also. Didn't want to forget about her. She always has been a faithful supporter of the Classic Gassers for many years. Thank you Faith. Murphy, I quess Steve is the real deal. I suppose we"ll have to continue to call him "King Lewis" ;D ;D

I know how bad this must bother you smurf daddy. But the facts remain. As I said before I won the B Gas title 23 times and the top eliminator title 14 times in the past 25 years. In addition, I won B Gas 3 times in the last nine years starting with classic thunder. Two of those years I raced in A gas. You can show up, race, and win for the next 25 years and not have as many wins as I do. In 25 years I'll be 86 you will have a better chance then. We should run out the back door no index just like the old days you can cut a 000 light but all you will see is the back of that blue Anglia at finish line.

All that I can say is the last three times I meet up with Steve in the finals I either saw the back end or the side of his ride at the stripe. I sure gave it my all this time around but the head gasket just said no more..... I really enjoyed running Steve in the finals. You are a tough one to beat ole Buddy.... Maybe next time......

well i had this typed out once before and hit the wrong button and deleted all of it . so i will try once again. Now since we are sitting the things straight here.....lets get it. ;D ;D...you seem to think this is upseting me...well just so you know it isnt. you serve this group as a good B/gass king...for the time being....I accepted last year when i had other commitments to make that what ever came, well it would have to be what it was. now to all those wins you have, i can look around my room right now and i see 16 trophys and there was others that just gave out money, which i would rather have. probally 15 to 20 over the last 7 years....and none of those matter either.. .all that i know is there is one race that you have never won.........and you had 4 chances..... .........the ones where that little black chevy II was present..... ......i know that for the year of 2006, 2007,2008, and the phenix city race of 2009. that car and it drivers done it job. now as far as out the back door.. ..seems that i came to you at that race and ask if you wanted to go out the back door and you said ........what........oh yea it was ...NO.....if you think that a 5.99 is all it has, well i am not gonna go there. but this 3000 lbs car is ready, if the money to make it happen is in place......you see my little buddy that drove it a phenix city, was driving someone else car, and he did not want to tear it up......but if i had of been there, the juice would have got turned on....but that is like a frog without the wings goes deal... ...so we will just have to say ....that is just another day..........with all that said MR. B/GASS KING.......enjoy it while it last cause if time dont get it and the creek dont rise .........YOUR DAY ARE NUMBERED.... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Now don't worry about the B/Gas Crown anymore guys cause Old Mangy will be wearing it from now on...... Got the tree figured out now and the blower put up in storage so now I can go take care of my future peasants....LOL Just started putting the bottle mount in the car so when I take control of the B/Gas kingdom I can start working on taking over the A/Gas Kingdom too....

Coyote from my view you only missed wearing the Crown by 6 inches. Our race was really close.
